Advanced Conductor Technologies is developing CORC® magnet feeder cables that connect superconducting magnets to their current leads. CORC® magnet feeder cables can operate at relatively high currents, while being at a significantly higher temperature than the magnet. The high lever of flexibility of CORC® magnet feeder cables also allows for complex cable routing when the space between magnet and current leads in confined.

CORC® magnet feeders have been incorporated within the 32 T all-superconducting magnet at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. The CORC® feeders are rated 600 A and allow for movement of the magnet insert of more than 30 mm with respect to the magnet flange.
